Scotty's Story

Scott Raybuck was born in Struthers, Ohio in 1956.  He lived a charmed life, marrying his middle school sweetheart, raising two daughters and co-owning a successful drywall company with his brother.  Whenever anyone would ask him how he was doing he would say, "It's a great day to be alive!"  To know Scotty was to love him.

Scotty started feeling ill in the winter of 2011.  He was diagnosed first with bronchitis then pneumonia.  Then on March 15, 2012, he received the devastating diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer that had metastasized to the liver.

Scotty had NO symptoms that are regularly associated with Colon Cancer, which underlines the importance of getting a preventive colonoscopy.

Scotty fought his battle for a year and eight months, valiantly and with courage.  He was an inspiration to all.  He finally succumb to cancer on November 16, 2013 at the age of 57.

His last wish was to start a foundation for others who have been diagnosed, to raise awareness, and to prevent this preventable but deadly disease.
